Great food! I’ve been there twice, and both tike great. We had the burger with guacamole which was so tasty. Also the chicken burger. Big quality portions. The inly reason I am not giving a 5-star review is the restroom, which is pretty old, and not clean.

Two days ago in San Francisco, I thought I had found the best burger of my life. But today in Davis, I just had one that blew it out of the water! I don’t know if it’s the ingredients, the way it was cooked, or just the vibe of the place, but this one takes the crown. Sorry, SF—you had a good run, but Davis wins this round!

It’s straightforward: quality in, quality out. Now — UC Davis. Different story. It’s a school that looks great on paper and in photoshoots. The marketing is everywhere — sustainability this, research that, inclusive buzzwords galore. But once you’re in, especially if you’re a high-achieving student, you quickly realize the system isn’t built to support excellence — it’s built to manage mediocrity. Bright, independent thinkers get treated like trouble. Professors protect their own egos more than their students’ potential. TAs often act like gatekeepers, not guides. If you ask hard questions, challenge the norm, or don’t fit the “quiet, compliant” student mold, you’re not seen as gifted — you’re labeled “difficult.” And the ROI? For all that hype, U.S. News reports the median salary 10 years after enrolling is just $54K. That’s barely enough to cover rent in California. UC Davis talks like a top-tier institution, but the numbers don’t lie: the return is underwhelming, especially for students who come in expecting a place that nurtures ambition. So here’s the truth: Burgers and Brew is everything UC Davis isn’t. Honest, consistent, and worth the cost. Skip the overpromised “prestige.” Eat the burger. Live your life. Don’t let UC Davis waste your potential……

This was my first time here. We were looking for a local place to grab a burger after our visit to the college. We ended up choosing burgers and brew, and it did not disappoint. I went with the turkey, burger and salad, and the portion size was really large. The staff was very friendly, and the place seem to be very popular with the locals. If you’re in Davis, I would suggest giving it a try.

First time trying Burgers and Brew, had there Smoked Aged Cheddar Burger, at first glance the amount of grilled purple onion was ridiculous, took half of and was prefect. The hamburger was perfectly cooked with great flavor. Fries were also perfectly cooked and seasoning tasted great. Would like to come back and try just a normal cheeseburger. Had a blonde beer with my food was a great pairing. Highly recommend stopping by if in the mood for a burger.

Great staff. When my friend and I went, they turned on the mist for us. Food was also good and filling, though it’s definitely the food you have after a beer or two. Despite that, nothing bad to say at all. Definitely the place to chill out with your friends, have some food, and drink some cold ones. Beer & Cider selection isn’t bad either. +dog friendly as well
